Super Mario 64 Native PC Port [SOURCE/BINARIES]

Description

This is it.

The one program that you can't really find anywhere else. It's right here, available for anybody to download. No emulation or anything.

The archive includes the Windows DirectX12 and OpenGL binaries, a Linux binary, and the SOURCE CODE to all those three!

Use the DirectX12 binary if you can. That binary has native XInput support, and is the original build. It's primarily meant for Windows 10. If you're not on Windows 10, then use the OpenGL binary. If you're on Linux, well, use the Linux binary.

I'd advise you to put the program in its own folder as it creates a .bin file for the savegame and .txt file for the config.

Keep in mind that you need a 64-bit processor. It won't work otherwise.

I got it off the original Reddit thread here but I'm reuploading it here because that subreddit and Discord download link isn't gonna stay up for very long.

Have fun!

I'll quote the original thread down below, just in case.

FAQ + DOWNLOAD

Where can I get the SM64 PC port? Compiled DirectX 12 and OpenGL builds, as well as source: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/706395232492847104/707005617419845714/Super_Mario_64_PC_Port_Files.rar

Which version should I use? DirectX 12 is the original build, and is intended for Windows 10. If that version doesn't work, try the OpenGL version.

The game runs too fast and/or my audio sounds weird! Use an external tool (such as nVidia Control Panel or RivaTuner) to limit the game's FPS to 30. The game can only run at 30fps. The code is inherently linked to the framerate. There is no 60fps mod at this time.

How do I get my controller to work? The DirectX 12 version natively supports XInput devices (Xbox 360/One controllers). You can use an external program to translate inputs from other controllers into XInput, such as DS4Windows, Joy2Key, or Steam big picture overlay. Steam overlay should cover all use cases, and is very versatile at setting up most controllers as an emulated XInput device. Just add the .exe to your Steam library as a non-Steam game and launch it in big picture mode.

How do I enter fullscreen mode? The settings file doesn't work. Press Alt + Enter. If that doesn't work, use an external app, such as Borderless Gaming.

Did you guys make this? Could you please add [this] or fix [that]? This is a leak of an incomplete private project. It has been posted with "no warranty" whatsoever. All mods/fixes/improvements are entirely up to the fan community to create themselves using the source code.
